Je držitelem několika významných hudebních ocenění. Jeho schopnost použití nástroje napříč žánry, dokládá množství hudebních nosičů, na kterých se jako sólista podílel. Hrál s celou řadou zahraničních kapel nejen v Evropě, ale i v USA.
Na domácích i zahraničních pódiích můžete Charlieho Slavíka vidět a slyšet nejčastěji jako leadera své vlastní kapely Charlie Slavík Revue, či v kapele afroamerické zpěvačky Juwany Jenkins či s jedinou českou jump bluesovou skupinou St.Johnny & The Sinners.
Kromě aktivního hraní je vyhledávaným lektorem na muzikantských workshopech. Charlie Slavík používá výhradně harmoniky značky Hohner.

Charlie Slavík is the most highly regarded harmonica player in the Czech Republic and winner of a Czech Bluegrass Association award. His ability to play the harmonica across genres has contributed to his playing as a solist on numerous recordings. In addition to his playing, he is a sought after lecturer for musicians´ workshops about his kvalitách svěčí, and for the fact that he was chosen as the opening act for his musical role model, the legendary harmonica player, Charlie Musselwhite, during Musselwhite´s only concert in the Czech Republic. Charlie Slavík´s has traveled throughout the Mississippi Delta several times and has managed to fulfill his life´s dream to play landmark clubs in Memphis, Nashville and Chicago. On Czech and international stages, you can see and hear Charlie Slavík as the band-leader for African-American soul-blues singer Juwana Jenkins, as a member of jump blues band St. Johnny & The Sinners, and, from 2013, as front-man for his new project, the Charlie Slavík Band.
